Geoffrey Alan Taylor
30 March 1949 - 04 April 2018
Geoff. Dad. Poppy. Brother. Tight-Arse.
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Andreas Pelendrides
18 May 1924 - 18 November 2015
Andreas Pelendrides was born in Limassol, Cyprus on the 18th of May 1924, to Vassilis and Zoe Pelendrides. Andreas had an older brother Christakis, and three sisters Ellie, Nikki and Fivi.
As a young boy he graduated from High School and at the age of 18 he became the youngest manager at NAAFI, (the Navy, Army and Air Force Institute), in the Middle East. Whilst there, he developed strong skills in the Arabic language whilst working in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Israel.
In 1951, Andreas desired new opportunity in his life and he considered the UK or Australia as his options. During the year, he decided to travel to Australia, and bought a ticket to travel by ship to Melbourne. The trip lasted more than a month, and Andreas did not like the conditions on the ship and therefore asked the Captain if he could disembark the ship at its first stop in Australia; which happened to be Fremantle.
Andreas settled into life in Australia well, and during the years he spent in Australia he worked in a variety of different positions from the Commonwealth Government to private enterprise. Andreas married, and had one child, a daughter Linda Zoe.
After retirement, Andreas enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends from the Hellenic Community and from the Floreat Athena Football Club. He loved watching soccer and snooker. He was a frequent regular visitor to the Floreat Athena Soccer Club which he would love to go to relax and see his good friends.
Nearly four years ago, in 2012 Andreas suffered a stroke that left him unable to look after himself. He then moved into his daughter Linda Zoe and her family’s home. During this time Andreas was cared for by Linda, Margaret, his son-in-law Steve, and granddaughters Nicole and Renee.
Andreas passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Linda would like to thank her mother Margaret for gracefully helping her look after and care for Andreas. Her Husband Steve for his unconditional love and support and her daughters Nicole and Renee for their help and support for their loving Pappou. Forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.
