"A treasured friend, actually more then a friend, not a cross word in 25 years. If I ever was in a tight situation and could have one person standing next to me I would choose Terry. Sadly missed by us."

"We shared a special bond, you and I, that will last all my life. No longer by my side but forever in my heart Terry. We also shared the same humour which stayed with you to the end. When I sat with you, holding your hand, I asked if you wanted anything. You said “I want everything” I replied “You’re just greedy that’s your trouble”. I saw a slight grin and you squeezed my hand. A few hours later you were gone. You left this world on your own terms which took tremendous courage and I know the song you have chosen ‘My Way’ has significant meaning to you. Love you my brother, my friend, Carol"

"Saying goodbye to Terry, one of our former players and a good friend is very difficult. However, you left us many happy memories during your time with our club. Always willing to lend advice and help, not only on the pitch but off it as well. And who can forget Terry squeezing into a junior shirt on the day we lost our kit. That kept us laughing not only on the pitch but in the bar after the game and for many weeks after. Rest in peace Terry."

"Terence you have shown so much courage and determination. I look after you while you doing your treatment for dialysis. We saw you in pain but you perseverance is phenomenal. Even to the point that you are about to pass out. You always say don’t worry Francine I am ok, no problem. Life to you seems so ok to the point you said to us Drs. and Nurses who look after you. I have my time set and that’s it. You scared to loss your brilliant self but the physical body is gone. May your spirit linger on and look after Rica who had been a tremendous help to you during those days. Rest In Peace Eternally Mr. Simms. 🙏🙏🙏"

"Terry, to me was a reliable friend. Not always in your life day to day, but someone who would help you if needed. We had some good chats about the good old days before he passed. Days when we both remembered our youth, when we were invincible and strong. We enjoyed those memories of days gone by. As always Terry, right to the end you did it your way. Remembering you always Christine"
- Christine Orr
"Well Terry so many good memories it's hard to choose, always loved it when you all came down to stay in Burry Port with Nana but my fondest has to be when you first had your scooter and drove all the way from Swindon down to Burry Port and came to a party with me and my friends down the links and gave us all a lift home, one by one, on the back of your scooter. A few had a crush on you after that xx I wonder if you ever thought of that weekend with the same fondest memories xx Rest in peace Terry you will always be in my heart and thoughts, your loving cousin Pauline xxxx "
