Maureen Veronica Steffanoni

Dear Helen and others of Maureen's family,I am deeply sorry for your loss. Maureen was such a warm and beautiful person. I knew her as a practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method, which I believe she came to through my own Mum, Annie Cosgrove. No doubt she started with Mum's classes that she held for many years at the Tresillian Community Centre. It must have sparked a real interest because, as you know, Maureen then did the first Perth-based professional training, of which my Mum was a prime mover and shaker (literally *and* metaphorically!). I ended up doing the full training myself a few years later, so even though we didn't really do it as a profession, we were colleagues of sort, and I would come across her at a Feldenkrais workshop every now and again. In fact, I won a hands-on session with Maureen at a workshop day once! She was a little nervous about it but I was happy.My own dearest Mum passed away over 2 years ago now. It's so so hard. Wouldn't it be nice if they were “rolling around on the floor” together somewhere out there, having a laugh?In memory of a wonderful human.
