Ben Aldridge served in the Australian Defence Force during his early twenties and hoped this would give him the direction he needed in life, however after spending nearly 6 months in East Timor fighting a civil war, he returned a different person than he knew. He was soon after diagnosed with PTDS. Ben had never dealt with mental health issues, or really knew how to cope with them which resulted in him making unhealthy decisions that lead to him becoming a quadriplegic. The 10 metre drop that changed his life. Today Ben is the Founder and Managing Director of 30 Foot Drop, where he aims to educate the community, Government and local councils through open honest conversations while being an advocate for those with disabilities.
