Self-proclaimed “grumpy old bastard” aviation superstar Chuck McElwee started his life dreaming of becoming a veterinarian, but the skies beckoned, and he never looked back. The ex-US navy flier revisits his career where he earnt his call sign “chucker”, flew Phantoms in Vietnam War and trained pilots for commercial and private licenses in Western Australia.
