Around the world at 25.
Equipped with a compass, a 2-burner camp stove, his wits, and his close mate Peter Kohlen had 25-year-old Mark Taylor become the youngest Western Australian to sail around the world in the mid-’80s. Taught to sail by his father, Mark recounts storms, raw spaghetti, whales sinking boats and an enduring respect for the ocean. Today windsurfing is his full-time gig and according to Mark “racing on a windsurfer is where it’s at”.
