In tribute to Robert,Though I did not have the honor of attending the recent gatherings to celebrate Robert’s life, I feel compelled to express my admiration for a man whose impact on this world is both profound and enduring.Robert was a truly remarkable individual whose legacy will continue to enrich and inspire. His remarkable achievements and unwavering positivity left an indelible mark, much like penguins returning to the same place to mate—a testament to the lasting imprint he made on this world.I remember meeting him and being struck by his genuine smile and the positive energy he radiated. Deepest sympathy on the passing of Robert. He was a stalwart and larger than life person in the Asbestos Diseases community. I was so sorry to hear of his recent passing. We were truly blessed to have Robert and family tirelessly working on all of our behalf. Unfortunately I cannot attend in person, but will watch the live stream.

Robert Vojakovic was one of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure and honour of knowing. He set out to fight for the men with whom he had worked at Wittenoom - many his friends from his country of birth - and who were now falling sick and dying well before their time. He took on some of Australia's biggest corporations and a government - at first- reluctant to rock the boat. he showed courage in the face of personal attacks and attempts to intimidate him and the grass roots support group he was building. He fought and he saw victory and justice for his friends , their families and thousands of others who came after them. And with his partner Rosemarie he built that grassroots group into one of Australia's most effective lobby and support institutions for people with asbestos diseases. Robert always supported the contributions that I and my legal colleagues made and I am very grateful to him for his friendship and support. Robert lived a life of significance and importance. I was fortunate to share some of it with him. He will be long remembered, Vale Robert.
