Who can forget Max's smile, beaming and genuine .....we met as teenagers at Governor Stirling High School.He was one of the Croatian boys who supported me during selective oppression from one or two teachers .We guys banded together.I remember that Max was a very promising student in those days....could have done anything.Rest in Peace with Jean, Max

Dear Max,When I was younger I thought your skill of rolling a cigarette in one hand while you were driving one of the coolest things I would ever see. I still do.I wanted to share a little with you about how you made me feel; you have been a constant presence in my life for close to 50 years. You gave me a gift in sharing your son with me.Over that time I recognised the way you would literally and figuratively go anywhere for Adam. I picture you waiting in your car all over the place; to be there when and how you needed to be. Your love for your son was obvious for me to see. I admire and respect you for that.Everytime you saw me you were generous with your time, your energy and your spirit. It was clear to me you had as much time to chat and hear how I was going as I needed. Your warmth was always there. There was always a light in your eye to share your time with me. You showed that same kind of warmth to my daughter and my wife; you made them feel that it was special to you that you met them.In truth though, I think it was that these were moments where you could share a little bit more of Adam’s life. You were very obviously a loving father.Max, I will forever think of you with the fondest regard. You made me feel special. You made me feel seen, known, you were so present when we chatted.These are special qualities; and I will always think of you as a special man. Much love to you on the other side.
